History: This is a lovely piece for display or themed collections. This trio is a charming piece of Art Deco-era English China by Hancock &Sons, under their “Ivory Ware” line, branded as Coronaware. This is part of their semi-porcelain line. The hand painted notation and pattern number written in glaze suggests it is not mass produced which enhances its collectability. The design features a bold yellow and black floral motif with stylized green leaves and sharp black Art Deco linework- a hallmark of the late 1920’s-1930’s aesthetic. the angular handle on the teacup also reflects Deco influence.
