Year: Circa 1920s–1940s

Set: No

Mark: None - Likely unmarked Staffordshire or Dutch-inspired export ware

History: This miniature jug is decorated in a blue transfer-printed windmill landscape, a motif strongly associated with Dutch pottery, particularly Delftware. However, the base shows no hallmark or maker’s mark, and the clay body, texture, and production quality suggest it may be English rather than Dutch—particularly of the type produced in Staffordshire for souvenirs or decorative sets in the early to mid-20th century.

The simplistic handle, lack of underglaze markings, and rough unglazed base support an attribution to small-scale or mass souvenir production. The printing appears slightly blurred in places, typical of low-cost transfer techniques used for novelty ceramics.

Though charming and evocative, its collectibility is modest due to the lack of identifiable maker and its small size. Still, it would appeal to collectors of miniatures, Delft-style ceramics, or blue-and-white ware.
