Year: Circa 1960s–1980s

Mark: None - Likely Arcoroc or Luminarc (France), or generic European pressed glass

History: This symmetrical low-profile candleholder features a flared bowl-like body with deep fluting and a central holder for a taper or tealight candle. The outer edge resembles a stylized starburst or daisy with pointed "petals," and the molded glass gives it excellent light-catching properties.

Its height (~4 cm) and width (~10.5 cm) suggest it was designed either for a tealight or as a drip-catching base for a taper candle. The center ring is slightly raised, forming a secure collar for a candle base.

There are no visible maker's marks on the base, but the production quality, combined with its pressed-glass weight and clarity, points to French mass production in the latter half of the 20th century. These pieces were popular for both home décor and tableware settings and were often sold in sets or as part of modular arrangements.

This form—with fluted segments and radiant lines—is a common motif in Arcoroc and Luminarc designs, and similar ones can also be found in Eastern European glass from the same era.
