History: Johann Seltmann Vohenstrauß was one of several porcelain factories operating under the Seltmann name in Bavaria, distinct from the Seltmann Weiden works. They were known for decorative wares, export items, and tourist souvenir ceramics. The use of real gold gilt detailing on the ashtray’s edge and cigarette rests is typical of Bavarian mid-century decorative pieces.

This item showcases moderate age-related crazing, and some gilt wear, both typical of pieces used or displayed over decades. While not highly rare, it holds value as a collectible due to its identifiable scene, regional origin, and the recognizable mark of a noted German porcelain house.

Flaws: Age related fade on paint
