History: This delightful mid-century Italian porcelain figurine from the Visconti Mollica studio captures a flamboyant Rococo gentleman striking a confident pose beside an upholstered salon chair. Expertly crafted in the Capodimonte tradition, he dons a lavender overcoat, peach waistcoat, and aqua trousers, all rendered with subtle matte detailing and fine modelling. The base bears both impressed and blue-stamped markings, including the crowned “N” and the full Capodimonte Visconti Mollica stamp. With slight age-related wear and a prominent decorative appeal, this 20th-century revival piece commands admiration among collectors of Italian ceramics and Capodimonte figures.
