Potted Boquet - Coalport

Name: Coalport Type: None Year: Mid-to-late 20th century (c. 1960s–1980s) Set: No Mark: Coalport - Crowned COALPORT mark, “Bone China – Made in England – Est. 1750” History: This piece is a hand-modeled floral posy arrangement by Coalport, one of England's premier porcelain makers. Coalport began producing porcelain in Shropshire in the late 18th century and became renowned for its exquisite bone china figurines and floral decorations. These posies, often used as gifts or decorative items, were especially popular throughout the mid-20th century. The backstamp with the crown and “Est. 1750” is a later 20th-century variant used post-1950, likely dating this specific piece to around the 1960s–1980s. The hand-applied green leaves and sculpted white rosebuds are typical of Coalport’s high-quality floral craftsmanship. The hole in the base is intentional for firing purposes and is standard for these items. These floral posies have a strong secondary collector's market, particularly when undamaged. Though this piece appears to be in good condition from the images, any leaf or petal damage (common with delicate flower models) can reduce value slightly. Flaws: None
