History: This functional milk glass bowl embodies the domestic charm of mid-century American kitchens. The use of bright floral decals—here a single orange rose—was a hallmark of Fire-King and its competitors during the 1960s and 70s. These bowls were often sold as part of nested sets or given away as promotional items with appliances and groceries.

The squared handles and durable pressed glass made them ideal for oven-to-table use, reflecting the utilitarian ethos of the time. Although many such pieces were unmarked, collectors often identify them by their form, thickness, and decal style. The orange rose design is slightly less common than the more frequent blue floral motifs, adding modest interest for collectors.

However, due to the chip on the handle, this example is best suited for display or light use rather than collection-grade resale.

Flaws: Small chip on handle
