History: This Bell China Trio (pattern number 4727) is a beautiful example of early to mid-20th century English Bone China. The pattern is quite distinctive with warm orange and peach-toned roses, deep cobalt blue panels, ornate gold scrollwork and lattice borders with green accents. The backstamp and handwritten pattern number “4727” suggest this was produced between the 1930’-1950’s. The combination of hand-painted details and transfer print reflects the transitional period in manufacturing during that time. Bell China patterns were often assigned numbers rather than names. This pattern number is not widely catalogued under a formal name, making it slightly rarer and desirable for collectors.
