Midnight Flame Pitcher - Harford

Name: Harford "Midnight Flame Pitcher"

Type: None

Year: Circa 1930s–1940s

Set: No

Mark: Harford - Harford Pottery, Staffordshire, England

History: This jug belongs to a genre of decorative, functional ware that mixed the rustic with the modern. Its striking contrast—bright floral painting against a matte black background—was aligned with trends in post-Art Deco domestic pottery. However, its appeal today is largely limited to collectors of English regional ceramics or those looking for restoration projects or parts.

Due to the extensive damage (large rim break, crazing, wear to the painted surface, and a deep vertical crack), its functional and decorative value is significantly reduced. If intact, it might fetch $35–50, but in current condition, its value is mostly sentimental, educational, or salvage-based.

Flaws: Broken pitcher lip
