Name: Li-Wan Elegance Type: None Year: likely c. 1990s–early 2000s Set: No Mark: Peter Pan Porcelain (China) - Peter Pan Porcelain (China) History: This is a small decorative porcelain plate from a collectible Chinese series known as Jinling Shi Er Chai (金陵十二钗), or The Twelve Beauties of Jinling, which features prominent female characters from the classic Chinese novel Dream of the Red Chamber. This particular plate depicts "Li-wan" (李纨), one of the elegant women, and includes both Chinese calligraphy and English transliteration. The reverse bears the printed signature of “Peter Pan,” a brand associated with collectible export porcelain, often decorative rather than functional. The plate employs transfer-printing with fine halftone dotting and gold-toned accent scrolls. It is not hand-painted. The presence of the ® mark next to the Peter Pan signature also supports its production during or after the 1990s. This series is more common among decorative collectors and East Asian export ware enthusiasts. Flaws: None
