History: This is an ornate twin-shell porcelain dish joined at the base with sculpted central ring handle. Each shell features delicate cobalt blue floral decoration in the style of the traditional “Zwiebel muster” (onion pattern), popularized by Meissen porcelain in the 18th century. The lobed rims are lightly scalloped, and the entire piece is moulded with subtle fluted texture, enhancing the painted decoration. The handle is a central feature, gracefully curled and painted with fine blue detailing, functioning as both a practical grip and decorative element.
