History: This charming and colourful trio is from Tuscan Fine English Bone China, a beloved Staffordshire maker known for elegant and sometimes playful floral designs. While the exact pattern name is unlisted on the piece (as was common with Tuscan), the design features a soft pastel floral motif with yellow, purple and pink blossoms with orange and green detailing, speckled black dot shading behind the flowers for contrast (a unique design flourish), black branch like elements and gilded rims on a light pink background (the light pink background isn’t visible on the picture). The very pale pink background adds rarity and appeal as most Tuscan trios were white based. This combination of bright flowers and a pastel background was typical of 1950’s fashion influenced ceramics – bold, playful and fresh.
