History: This marigold carnival glass bowl is a quintessential example of mass-produced decorative tableware from the early to mid-20th century. Carnival glass was initially given away at fairs and cinemas, hence the name, but quickly became a desirable collectible due to its iridescent beauty and affordability.

The petal-ribbed motif and rich sheen make it highly reflective, especially under natural light, making it ideal for decorative or display purposes. Though unmarked, the form and finish closely resemble pieces made by Imperial or Fenton—both prolific producers of this style.

In today’s market, marigold is among the more commonly found carnival glass colours, which affects its value slightly compared to rarer shades like amethyst or ice green. However, this piece remains an attractive and vibrant addition to any vintage glassware collection.
